Mario Schifano

Artist with a rebellious and biting soul, today considered one of the most prolific painters of the post-war period. He immediately attracted critics by creating monochrome paintings that offer the idea of a photographic screen that will later host numbers, letters, street signs, the Esso and Coca Cola brands. He lived in New York where he dated Frank O’Hara, Jasper Johns and Andy Warhol. Personal exhibitions of him are set up in Rome, Paris and Milan.
